Update on the £3.00 Fare Cap Scheme

1 month ago Wed 6th May 2026

We have taken the decision to withdraw from the Government £3.00 Capped Fare Scheme with an effective date of Monday the 1st of June 2026.

We realise that this will be unwelcome news for passengers but the re-imbursement levels have not been high enough since the scheme changed from £2.00 to £3.00.

Now with the drastic increase in costs we have to face as an independent business the already low levels of re-imbursement remain the same meaning the scheme has become even more unsustainable for us.

This will only impact the capped £3.00 fare, the £1.50 capped fare in Thetford & King's Lynn will remain active along with the 15% discount on Weekly / Monthly & Group Tickets.
These schemes are funded separately by Norfolk County Council.

We will be updating our journey planner shortly to reflect the change in fares.

Our weekly & monthly tickets still offer great value for regular travellers

The £3.00 single fares that are available on our mobile app will continue to be sold until the last day of May, at which point they will be removed from our ticket sales.

Any unused tickets can still be scanned after the 1st of June but purhcase will not longer be possible.
